KAIHOKA LAKES MX CHAMPS 2009
Day one:
After a long haul over to Kaihoka, which is on the other side of Collingwood, It was a fresh start to day one. As we had a lot of rain on Friday the ground was thoroughly wet. The racing kicked of at around 9am with a slick greasy practice, which made you have to concentrate for the 10 jumps in the track. I had bad starts all of the day, being either last or at the back of the pack meaning I had to fight my way up the field. I placed around 7th, 8th & 9th.
Day 2:
Another hot day though unhappy about about my starts on day one , I practiced them over & over half a dozen times, while waiting for my practice & I got it semi sorted. Race 1, I got 5th off the start though crashing & finishing around 8th again. Race 2, once again a 5th off the start & crashing again finishing in 7th position.
Feature race:
I had another poor start but worked my way through the field to pass local riders Andrew Rudd & Bradley Wadsworth to take 9th place.
