Those hills are easy!!!

written by Mitch

SATURDAY

I was really looking forward to racing at the Michael Godfrey but also a wee bit nervous. We went & had a look at the track on Friday night, It looked really hard & I wasn’t to sure if I was going to do very well. On Saturday I was riding really well & having an awesome time. I had 3 races on Saturday & only came off once because I ran into someone. I shouldn’t have been worried about the hills or the step up as they proved to be a piece of cake & alot of fun. My slowest lap time was 4:47 on that day.

SUNDAY: Ow my neck

On Sunday we only had 2 races because of the sprint races which were before the feature race. I had got the hang of the track & was getting very high on the jumps. My best lap time for the day was 4:03. We didn’t have to do the sprints but I decided too, no one in my class was doing it. I was going really well & surprisingly I wasn’t coming last!. As I was coming over a jump, still leaning forward I did a massive whip & when I landed I high sided the bike & went over the handle bars, when I looked up my bike was upside down with my bars bent right back. I couldn’t feel any pain so I tried to sit up but then my neck hurt. The good news is I only cut my neck & have alot of gracing (but I’m fine) I can’t wait to get back out on my bike. It was a really awesome weekend & I can’t wait to ride down there in 4 weeks time.

I just love riding my KX85 it is simply the best!!!!!!

What an awesome track

Written by Shaun

Hi everyone, I had a great weekend at the Michael Godfrey. I am starting to really enjoy the power of my 125. The track was awesome this weekend, it had heaps of jumps & drop offs, there also was alot of traction so you could let it hangout all weekend long. The 1st  race on Saturday I placed 25th, the 2nd race I placed 23rd, then in the 3rd I placed 21st. The next day it wasn’t as cold in the morning & it didn’t take as long to warm up. I went out for my 1st race & enforced all of what I had been told the night before at the motel & got 16th, I was really stoked with that. The 2nd race wasn’t as good as I stalled on the start line & was last off the gate, I worked my way through the pack & got 20th. So overall I placed 23rd for the weekend & I was pretty happy with that considering I was racing against 250 4 strokes. Flat tracks round 3 & 4 are three weekends away & I am really looking forward to it.

Thanks everyone Shaun
